Sukkot: A Celebration of Joy and Fragility, Together

The celebration of Sukkot is known as the “Time of Our Rejoicing” (Z’man Simchateinu). Out of the three pilgrimage holidays, Sukkot is the only one where the word “joy” is used in reference to a holiday in the Torah. “…you shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.” (Lev. 23:40)

Masechet Megillah. All are welcome! (No previous Talmud experience necessary) This is a perfect time to join the Talmud class as it is a new tractate (volume) and we are just beginning.

New Learner's Minyan
 
Did you ever want to learn more about our services? Curious about the meaning behind the prayers? Join Rabbi in a 1/2 hour workshop (8 - 8:30am) the first Wednesday of the month (beginning August 2nd) exploring both the mechanics and meaning behind our siddur (prayer book) in a small and low pressure Learner's Minyan. Bring your questions and spiritual curiosity. Space is limited to 5 - 8 participants. RSVP directly to Rabbi Singer.
