Steve Glickman –  President

Steve has traveled the road between Brooklyn and Bethlehem more than once. The first time was when he moved to Bethlehem as a young child with his parents after his father became proprietor of Lehigh All-Brite Cleaning Service. Steve grew up here, attending Bethlehem’s public schools and graduating from Liberty High School … Brith Sholom literally meant family, including as it did his parents, grandparents and brother … A licensed architect, he now has a firm of his own, Steven Glickman, Architect. Married to Hannah … father of Noah … Hobbies include tai chi and historic preservation, single malt Scotch, and going along for the ride (again!) between Bethlehem and Brooklyn’s best food purveyors because he and Hannah enjoy and appreciate good food.

David Caine – Secretary

Possibly our only board member who can cite a Biblical directive to listen to his wife — Genesis 21:12, “Listen to whatever Sarah tells you” — with whom he has three children … Being active in the Brith Sholom “extended family” is very important … Cub Scout den leader and active runner … professional clown occasionally, I.T. professional always.

Casey Goldblat – Treasurer

Also our Website Coordinator … active volunteer with Brith Sholom and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation children’s unit, outgrowths of her earlier paths of high school English teacher, nursery school teacher, computer programmer … Ever attentive to detail, she quilts and reads historical fiction … With Steve, z’l, has two daughters and four grandchildren. Enjoys cooking, music, and theater.

Jennifer Lader

Though we are often amazed at how honeybees work together, Jennifer finds the potential for good when people work together in community even more amazing … and worth celebrating! A writer & editor; busy volunteer … Married to Gary, with three children … loves hearth, home, and nature.

Edward Levy

A calm leader, you’ll see Ed at services. Fiscally conservative, communally supportive … Professor of mechanical engineering … Married to Ursla, with two children and four grandchildren … World traveller who seeks impressionist art. Why? “Because I’ve learned enough about it that I crave to know more” — which may just describe the feelings of Ed and a lot of Brith Sholomers when it comes to Judaism, too.

As for our professional and always helpful staff, we’ve already introduced Rabbi Michael Singer, Sam Guncler, and Office Manager Tammy Watts on our front page …

Tim Miller

Born in Allentown and raised in Catasauqua … worked for a number of businesses in the area as a rug installer … Experienced as well in janitorial and cooking duties, having been a cook with the Navy … Served four years of active duty and two years inactive … Enjoys movies and music.
