Bethlehem is conveniently located in the heart of the Lehigh Valley approximately one hundred miles from New York and sixty-five miles from Philadelphia. Congregation Brith Sholom at the corner of Macada and Jacksonville Roads is easily accessible via Route 22 just minutes away from Route 78. We are also within a few minutes of the Transbridge Bus Station and the Lehigh Valley International Airport. Brith Sholom is an intimate, traditional egalitarian synagogue. Housing-New There are two new housing developments near Brith Sholom. Hanover Pointe is located directly across the street. There are two elementary schools near Brith Sholom: Asa Packer and Hanover, a National Blue Ribbon School. In December 2004, the Bethlehem Area School District Board voted to send grammar school students from the Hanover Pointe and Hanover Ridge developments to the Spring Garden School. For those interested in Jewish education, the Jewish Day School of Allentown is located a mere eight miles away with public transportation available. Moravian Academy lower and middle schools are located near downtown Bethlehem and the upper school campus is a few miles away.
